Who are we?
Can you read music? And are you singing in a community choir and not finding it challenging enough? Or maybe in a chamber choir or choral society and finding it a bit too formal? Or are a little rusty having sung in a school or chapel choir years ago? Or maybe you want to have a second choir to give your singing a bit of variety. If so, Brighton Acapella is calling your name!
Every Monday evening, around ten of us gather in our host's lounge around a big table for a lively and casual singing session. No instruments—just pure, unaccompanied harmony (though a keyboard is there for a quick note-check when needed). We’re a friendly, informal bunch and have been harmonizing together for over ten years, building an impressive repertoire that spans madrigals, Elgar, the American Song Book and the Beatles. Although we do the odd gig, essentially we're a glee club.
Whether you’re a seasoned vocalist or just love to sing, we’d love to have you join us. We meet every Monday at 7:30 PM, and the more, the merrier. So, come lend your voice, make some new musical friends, and have fun!
Let us know if you're interested—we can’t wait to hear from you!
